Reacher is a former Military Police Officer who chooses to wander the U.S. The first film debuted in 2012 and was based on the character book series from author Lee Childs. Although fans had become accustomed to seeing Tom Cruise in action as agent Ethan Hunt in the Mission Impossible movies, the actor took another action role detour from that franchise for the refreshing Jack Reacher.
